STORY

Rabbit's Helm Press is a small publishing company based out of Calgary, Alberta. We create books made with purpose –– books that come from places of passion and expertise; books that ask for engagement; books that promote kindness, truth, and love. Our books aim to put hope and encouragement into the world and to make reading an experience. We currently focus on books for children and families, as well as puzzle and activity books for all ages.

Rabbit's Helm Press was started in December 2022 by Kari Kapteyn. Then a stay-at-home mom, Kari was struggling to find Christmas activity books for her kids that both told the story of the Nativity and challenged their minds. So she decided to make one. The final result was the Nativity Christmas Activity Book, and the process of creating it was so fun and fulfilling that Kari decided to start a company that could host a myriad of books and projects created to challenge and encourage kids and families.

Since then, Rabbit's Helm Press has grown to publish the work of multiple authors, and is proud to be the home for both Christian faith-based content, and non-religious content that highlights knowledge, cultures, and positive values that are universally applicable.
